Web-based CoursesRCC's Web-based programs offer a quality educational experience that is both flexible and convenient. RCC offers their own Web-based program along with courses from other community colleges in Oregon sometimes referred to as "Host/Provider" courses. If you would like to take a Web-based course offered by another college then you will need to register in person at either the Riverside or Redwood campuses. Visit http://distance.roguecc.edu/host_provider/ for details. To be able to successfully complete a Web-based course, you need to be self-motivated, have good computing skills and have access to the proper technology. You will not regularly attend class on campus but should plan on devoting at least as much time to your Web-based class as you would a campus-based class. Is Web-based Learning For You?Some students learn best by interacting face to face with classmates and their instructor. Other students benefit from greater freedom to schedule their time and complete their educational goals by working independently from home or work. The question you should ask yourself is: "How well will Web-based courses fit my circumstances and lifestyle?" Here is a quick self-quiz to help you assess if Web-based learning could be a solution for you. "Web Course Advisor" Basic Technical RequirementsOnline classes require a computer, internet connection, a valid e-mail address, and a compatible Web browser.
